Short Synopsis

Director Dieter Weihl falls in with a band of “women-hungry” 70­-something Latin dancers. Shot over two consecutive seasons, from January through March, by a crew of one, the film chronicles Mambo King, Pedro “Cuban Pete” Aguilar. We follow his fortunes from single room occupancy to “a dream come true” by way of an auspicious encounter with a woman named Barbara.
